Premiere ‘The Dreaming’ String Trio (vln.vln.vla)

The influences of musical idioms from their countries of origin are repeatedly noticeable in the works of Zoltan Kodaly and Antonin Dvorak: AMBITUS takes this phenomenon as its central theme: composers from Taiwan, Poland, Australia, Moldova, and Austria write music that reflects the musical traditions of their respective countries of origin and paraphrases them with a personal, unmistakable tonal language. In free association with this: floating installations by textile artist Claudia Posekany.

The Dreaming is born in every moment

The Dreaming appears as the world, in the ancient presence of Australian Aboriginal spirituality, which harkens its listener, singer, to unfold the creation story, through the geography which is created and then known. To know the ‘songlines’ or ‘dreaming tracks’ of the Dreaming, is to know the land where it came from (whenceforth it came) - and this is kept sacred and secret. For he or she who knows these songs, knows and belongs to this land. Who does not know this Dreaming, does not know this land - and therefore cannot be part of it.
