Subtle French-influenced instrumentation by Farnaz Modarresifar, reflections of a landscape through the changing seasons in Edith Lejet's work, the geometric-mathematical and metaphysical approach to the metamorphosis of a butterfly in Tamara Friebel's piece, and the haunting sound language of Galina Ustwolskaja – the young ensemble KLANGwandler at the mdw celebrates the stylistic diversity of works by four remarkable female composers from Paris, Tehran , St. Petersburg, Vienna and southern Australia.
